Wild&Berg was born decades ago in Ostrobothnia
The story of Wild&Berg began 20 years ago in Ostrobothnia, Finland. Since childhood, Viktoria Forsberg, known for her passion for sports, has always been committed to eating healthily. Growing up, her mother enjoyed baking treats and cooking delicious meals, while her father loved inviting people over for dinners. They were a big family that enjoyed spending time with each other. One of Victoria’s favourite pastimes was hunting with her father, with snacks being an important part of their excursions. With her mother, Viktoria baked and experimented with traditional recipes, aiming to create healthier options that would provide more nutrition and fewer empty calories.
Once Viktoria took up cross-country skiing, she made countless visits to the library, researching food and nutrition that would support recovery. As Viktoria reached the finish line in skiing competitions, her mother would be there, ready with their own carefully prepared snacks. As a junior skier, Viktoria ranked in Finland’s top 10, and her self-designed nutrition played a critical role in fuelling her training, competitions and recovery.
From Germany to Pietarsaari joining the Hetki Salads product development team
After graduating from upper secondary school, Viktoria moved to Germany to study marketing. She built her expertise through various work assignments and export projects. When Viktoria’s knee could no longer withstand skiing, her passion for competitive sports led her to excel in the Finnish bench press championship, where she earned a silver medal. Viktoria’s fascination with food eventually led to a decade-long career in the product development team of Fresh Servant, a Finnish food company. With Viktoria’s guidance, her team created various products, such as the popular Hetki salads. The knowledge she gained about processes stayed with her and proved invaluable when she established her own snack brand.

As CEO and founder of Seger Marketing, Viktoria often highlighted the possibilities of the countryside.
A marketing agency was set up in Finland's smallest village
However, before founding Wild&Berg, she also had time to launch a marketing company. Over the course of five years, her company grew and expanded to three locations. More than 100 companies entered the next decade with renewed strength, creating new job opportunities in the countryside. The company’s head office was located in Småbönders, the home village of Viktoria’s family.
Despite her company’s success, Viktoria was drawn to the idea of creating a product that was entirely her own. So, in 2021, she decided to sell her profitable marketing company. As an outdoor enthusiast and entrepreneur with boundless energy, it was clear that Viktoria would focus on inventing a portable and nutritious snack. During her hikes in the woods and later in her home kitchen, the idea of a fullsnack made from natural Finnish ingredients began to take shape. Luckily, she had already received a front-row seat to the world of food production as the spouse of a farmer.

40 recipe variations later, a bar was born that was so delicious and tasty
The “max-boost-fast” protein bars available at supermarkets – full of artificial ingredients and sweeteners – embodied everything Viktoria wanted to avoid. They were certainly not snacks she would consider giving to her family. For her new snack product, she had a clear set of criteria: only a few healthy and recognisable ingredients. Pure Finnish oats, rye, berries and whey from milk – and a dash of high-quality chocolate. A delicious snack you could enjoy with good conscience. Viktoria tested her recipes with her family and friends and developed her product based on their feedback. After 40 recipe variations, she finally created a bar so delicious it almost made her cry.
Wild&Berg tells the story of nature and its gifts
The product name – Wild&Berg – tells a story of nature’s gifts and the unwavering belief of an adventurous businesswoman. One of Viktoria’s greatest joys is hearing the endorphins in her husband’s voice after a great cross-country skiing excursion, fuelled by a nourishing snack. A snack is more than just nutrition. It is a chance to pause, take a breath and recharge your batteries before continuing your day. It is an opportunity to enjoy delightful flavours while nourishing the body and mind with high-quality energy.
